ABOUT US

Whether it’s the rise of golf YouTubers, the proliferation of golf content on social media or players tracking their performance on purpose-built apps – golf lives in a digital space.

Ben Thompson set up Align Sports Media in 2021 to reflect this reality and challenge golf’s conventional marketing model. Prior to setting up Align Sports Media, Ben provided marketing consultancy for brands including Mizuno and La Cala Resort (Spain’s largest golf resort).

He was the brand manager for American Golf and marketing manager for Swiss-based events company OC Sports. This followed a ten year career in journalism, reporting and producing content for media organisations including The Economist, Global Business Television & Newsquest London.
